Sheba #2284

Since this is a week of giving thanks, we are happy to share the story of Sheba! Mutt dad Steve shares with us the simple things she is grateful for:

Sheba #2284

I am happy to report that Sheba is still going strong at 12 (we think!); talkative as ever. Loves sacking out on the couch while we all watch TV, enjoys her buddy Caliente (the 14 year old Chihuahua – although she flops down precariously close to her periodically), and especially loves chasing her ball in the early AM and after dinner when we can.

Although Sheba is slowing down a bit, she still chases the ball with me on walks morning and evening. And she still climbs the stairs to put herself to bed every night. She now has a pal – a little spaniel/poodle/whatever mix that we also rescued. Sheba still is quite vocal at feeding, and is getting more vocal as she is growing quite deaf (aren’t we all!). Seems to be getting a little better in the car.

She is very fit for her age and is a sveldt 65 pounds. We are planning to move to Texas in January, so she will have plenty of time to get over her auto anxiety with me driving her across country. She has been a great companion, we have enjoyed having her in our family and look forward to her new adventure in Texas.
