Benson

Benson

Hospice mom Kim gave Benson an amazing life. Here are her sweet words about Benson:

Benson was an inquisitive, little guy. He may have had mobility issues but was always sniffing the air around him, and looking around at all the activity others were doing around him. He was polite about meeting new people, and going to explore other community settings, outside his hometown. For instance, he liked exploring a grassy, wild field at my aunt’s retirement village in Richmound. He did need help drinking from the hose to stay hydrated that day but enjoyed his ride back to my aunt’s house in his stroller, in time for dinner. One time, or a few times, I snuck him into Raley’s, in his purple, white, checkered bag, and he blended in smoothly w/the groceries, giving me at lest 10 minutes more to shop! The checker at the register, was very nice, and happy to see a dog having a good time shopping in their store. The bagger girl, squealed, “Oh, I want to kiss him!”. Looking back, I’d wish I’d unzipped Benson out for a quick peck! These are my two most favorite memories of him….I’m so happy to share them all with you.

Original profile

This lovely boy, Benson, weighs about 13 pounds, but we believe he is going to gain more weight, with much TLC he will make his way to being a healthy dog, and ready for your home. Benson is approximately 12-14 years of age.
His foster Mom reports that he has a permanent heart condition but likes to stay busy – and that he doesn’t bug the cats. Benson loves being held by anybody who likes a good snuggle.

Since arriving at Muttville, his weight has increased by a good couple of pounds with a lot of good well-toned muscle! Please come meet this handsome guy, we assure you, he will steal your heart away in a second.
