Figg (a.k.a. Fig Newton)

Figg is living the good life! Thanks to Diane and Kevin for sharing their love story:

Figg (a.k.a. Fig Newton)

My husband and I adopted Fig Newton (now “Figg”) this past May. He was a stray in the Central Valley, with no identification, but luckily he made his way from Tracy to Muttville! He was a bit of a mess when we got him — 15 pounds overweight, skin on his poor little tummy all black (likely from food allergies), and lots of anxiety from whatever sad turns his life had taken.

We suspect he had been largely an outdoor dog, as the skin on his elbows was calloused and tough as leather. Four months later, our Figg boy is a dreamboat. He’s slimmed down, has food allergies are under control, and he has adjusted quite nicely to sleeping with his humans on a warm, comfortable, king-size bed.

He’s a nutcase, for sure, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We are totally, completely, madly in love with him!

Thank you, Muttville, for all that you do and for sending us our Figg!
