Sierra and Sara

Sierra and Sara

Chocolate Lab
Female/Female
Large (50-90 lbs)
Status: Adopted

Sierra (7 years) and her mom Sara (11 years) are purebred chocolate Labrador Retrievers. These girls have quite a story. Sierra and Sara were left behind when their owner’s house was foreclosed in Nevada, so Central California Labrador Retriever Rescue took them in.

Sierra is blind. She has detached retinas in both eyes and nothing can be done to correct her vision, but that doesn’t bother her! She gets around just fine…she follows Sara who watches out for her. Sierra also has a condition called dwarfism, which gives her shorter legs, but she doesn’t care if people think she’s part Basset Hound!

Sierra is simply a love…she plays, gets silly and gives you kisses. Sara is also playful and so sweet and easy to have around. We are looking for a very special home for these two and do not want to separate them. Both girls love attention and follow their foster mom everywhere. They adore being in the house. Mama Sara loves stuffed toys and has a great time playing with them. Both girls are quite active and love to walk with a coupler (so you only need one leash for the two) so Sierra can be touching her mom as they walk. If you adopt these two girls, you will be rewarded with their undying devotion and you will know that you’ve saved two labs that REALLY need saving. So far no one has called. Might you be the one to give these lovely, sweet girls a home? For more information call Nancy @ 925-228-6192 (home) or 925-482-5155 (cell).
