Sadie is a gentle, sweet girl who was abandoned in the back yard of a vacant home. She weighed 29 pounds when she was found. She has already gained 11 pounds (by October 10), but still needs to gain about 10 more, as her ideal weight would be around 50 pounds. She clearly used to be an inside dog, and she is housebroken and has good inside manners. She gets along with other dogs and is also OK with dog-savvy cats.
She is very thankful to be in a safe inside environment with regular meals and soft dog beds, but she is also a healthy and active girl with the energy to go on walks and no problem with stairs or jumping up on the couch if she is invited. She loves to give kisses and get patted and loved – she didn’t deserve to be left alone to starve to death. Sadie needs a forever home – could that be yours?
