Rosie 5

Austrailian Shepherd
Female
Medium (20-50 lbs)
Status: Adopted

Rosie is a beautiful, sweet and sensitive Australian Shepherd of an indeterminate age 9+ perhaps?
After being horribly neglected and abandoned on the mean streets of LA, she escaped from her last days at a kill shelter, where she was thankfully rescued by Muttville, who swooped in and saved her.
She is really blossoming in her foster home. After only a short time here, she has come out of her shell, and now is actively seeking love from those around her. She loves to be talked to lovingly, and given lots of sweet affection. She is now coming over for head pats, treats and lots of nice talking to. I think that Rosie’s spirit is very strong and kind. She gets along beautifully with our family, kids included, as well as other dogs. Our young two year old dog has even gotten her to play – just once so far – but it was very cute. We have two cats who she ignores, she smelled them once, but no interest. As stated she does like other dogs. We have pet chickens too, and she shows no interest in them. I believe that Rosie is highly intelligent.
She recognizes words, and phrases she has heard just a few times ( relating to food, going inside and outside, names of people, and animals in the house ) and responds. She has a presence, a good energy, that is steady and calming, even all of her many years of neglect, she still shines. Rosie is a keen observer, and a willing participant. She wants to be loved, and will give you much love in return. She is very thankful and appreciative, and just deserves an abundance of happiness for the rest of her life.
