Grover

Grover

Spaniel mix
Male
Medium (20-50 lbs)
Status: Adopted

Grover was taken in by the shelter after wandering the mean streets in Los Angeles. A lot of sharing and networking of his sweet face on Facebook got him rescued, and now he needs to find a home for whatever time he has left. He’s 29 pounds, a spaniel mix, partially blind and partially deaf, has dry eyes (easily cared for with drops),, and is all spiffed up and looking handsome with a new puppy cut, which seems to feel very good to him, after having to live with horribly matted long hair for goodness knows how long. Not much is known about his previous life, but we now know he’s sweet natured and a love bug. He will stop dead to be rubbed, scratched, pet, and kissed, and he won’t move till you stop. He quickly learned small sets of stairs and can get out into the yard (for potty time) and back by himself. He is kind to other dogs, and he LOVES to eat, prancing around and waiting when he knows it’s that time (with his pot belly, he looks like a little goat gamboling about in excitement). He makes almost no sound (slight whine at rare times), but knows how to open baby gates with his nose if you don’t secure them completely! He’s a wonderful, quiet, loving old man with a streak of puppy in him and a big will to live well.
