Truffle

Truffle

#1528
Female
Small (6-20 lbs)
Status: Adopted

Walking around the house snorting and oinking, little 10 lb Truffle sounds just like a pig searching for truffles. She’s an easy-going older lady with soft wavy black fur that she probably used to get done at the beauty shop each week. Her favorite activities are snoozing, napping, dreaming big dreams, and relaxing with her people. And she loves a good hot turkey dinner!

She doesn’t require more than a walk around the block- and on cold or rainy days she is happy to stay warm and cozy inside. Truffles loves to smell new smells, so she will gladly accompany you (carried most the way in a dog bag or in your car) to do your errands or to visit a friend.

Since her vision is limited, she navigates through the world with her nose. Her piggy snorting is the result of a soft palate, like a person who snores. Due to “deferred maintenance,” she will be catching up on health care here at Muttville by having a dental cleaning, a couple of baths and a nail clipping. And since she is a bit underweight, she gets to put on a few pounds eating her foster family’s homemade dog food. Lucky girl!

Truffle would happily live with cats and other dogs, or as an only dog. She would thrive with people who just want to hang out with her – a person living alone or a couple would suit her just fine.

Truffle’s presence will calm your spirit, and her oinking sounds will make you laugh every day. Who doesn’t need that?
