Summer

#4462
Beagle mix
Female
Medium (20-50 lbs)
Status: Adopted for hospice care

Adorable girl Summer just arrived at Muttville from Oakland where she was found as a stray. Despite all the changes in her life Summer is a happy and loving girl! She loves people and other dogs, enjoys going for walks, and is loyal and sweet. She would love a wonderful home to spend her golden years in! We think Summer is a beagle/terrier mix.

Summer is 9 years young and is the perfect medium size of 35 pounds.

Here is what Summer’s foster had to say about this doll:

“Summer has settled in nicely here. It took her a day or so, but she’s come out of her shell. She’s very very mellow.

Summer likes to chill and sunbathe, and sleeps quite a bit. She wags her tail, put on a play stance once, and happily trots to the park.

She is completely house trained, barks very little, and has a terrific attitude. She stays close by, but isn’t needy or constantly underfoot.

So far there are zero disagreements between her and any other dogs here, and she’s sweet and gentle with all kinds of other critters at the park.

She doesn’t pull on leash, begs a little, doesn’t seem super interested in sitting on furniture or being on the bed, (which I personally love,) and has all around great manners.

She’s likes being pet but doesn’t seeks out a ton of attention. She listens, and stayed close to the pack when walked off leash. I think she’d do great in a pack or as an only dog, is very low maintenance, and very endearing. Very very easy to love and be around, she’d be terrific for an elderly person.

Summer is totally fine doing her own thing, and happy to join in also. She’s totally wonderful."
