Her human companion passed away and now Shayla is looking for that Special Someone. Shayla loves, loves, LOVES people and is one loyal pup.
Shayla also loves belly rubs. You know she’s completely content when you hear her soft moans and groans.
In the mornings, you’ll find her sleeping away; she barely raises her head or opens her eyes. It’s almost too much effort.
She comes alive in the afternoon however, and is ready for some play time, a brushing, some socialization, a walk, or a ride. It doesn’t really matter, just as long as she’s with you.
Tennis balls are her chew toy of choice but don’t get the squeaky ones, they scare her! Our girl is a traditionalist, the green fuzzy tennis balls are just fine, thank you.
Lately Shayla has been stepping out on her walks – the world is a fascinating place for our little/big girl Her ears go “flippity-flop” as she strides out. But she doesn’t stride out too far, she’s always by your side.
Shayla is also a smartie. She opens and closes(!) doors, lifts up mini-blinds so she can see out, and knows basic sit, down, and stay commands. She’s continuing her education in her foster home and learns new words quickly.
Shayla is ten years young, pretty spry when she’s not sleeping, and is just looking for someone to love her up. Are you Shayla’s Special Someone?
