Miss Shadi came to us by way of friends of ours at VAFA, animal rescue in Iran.
When we heard of her plight we just couldn’t turn her away.
She is a smart, soft, affectionate girl about 7-8 years old, and is a rescue from Iran, where she lived in a shelter for 2 years. She weighs about 55 pounds.
She has come a long way in search of someone who can love her and show her the good life. Her front legs are healthy and do most of the work.
She is missing half of her left rear leg and has no functional knee in the right. She is also missing her “big toe” on the right foot but really does not seem to miss it. She still uses both back legs quite well despite their conditions but would benefit greatly from someone with a one level home, very few steps, ramps would be ideal. She is uncomfortable on slick, tile, vinyl and hardwood floors and would be best suited to a carpeted home. Despite her disability she still manages to run and play with other dogs and even chases a running cat! Shadi is ALWAYS smiling!
Shadi is very house-trained and she is a quiet, gentle girl looking for love…..
