Rookie sure is one lucky dog! His rescuer found out that he was in boarding in Bakersfield and needed out and there happened to be a transport headed from LA to the Bay Area the next day. After many Facebook messages, emails and calls all was arranged for him and another dog to meet the van in Buttonwillow. His foster mom picked him up and being a baseball fan, named him Rookie. He’s about 7 years old and weighs about 8 pounds.
What’s so especially charming about this fella is his endearing underbite. Rookie is being fostered with a cat and is doing well and he also gets along with dogs of all sizes.
Since he’s on the younger side of Muttville he’s got a lot of spunk and likes long walks. He’s a great city dog and is adjusting very well to his new environment.
