Our sweet, sweet Raven flew in from Ventura and we are so happy that she is with us now.
She’s a ~10 year old border collie mix, a small girl.
Life was not easy for her, and she was treated with a heavy hand. More and more, she understands that she won’t be hit when you reach to pet her, that those days are over.
Raven is a toughie and a reminder of just how strong and resilient dogs can be. She came to us in poor condition, underweight and full of mammary tumors. She sailed right through the 1st of 2 surgeries and is finally gaining some weight.
Now that she feels safe and her health is improving, she’s happy, spunky and full of energy. While her favorite place to be is the great indoors, she loves to go for walks.
We are working with her on basic manners and she’s making good progress.
Raven loves to get to go, rides well in the car. She is ok home alone, too.
She quickly learned to live peacefully with other dogs and is good with older, dog-savvy children. Cats would prefer to be in a home without her.
We love this sweet girl so much, she deserves only the best.
