Raleigh’s story is very sad…

For the past 10 years of his life, Raleigh has lived in a backyard in Los Banos; the weather is scorching during the summer there. In his last years there, his owner did not give him food or water. The neighbor was kind enough to sneak water and food through the fence to get him by. They also helped him get out of his horrible situation.

When he arrived at Muttville he was a mess. The poor guy was so nervous on the car ride up; he had never been in a car before. After touching his body, we decided that he has also never had a bath before. His skin was flakey and covered in filth. There were tons of matts in his beautiful fur and his teeth are worn to the gums; likely from chewing on rocks or steel fencing. He did not have a smile on his face.

Muttville instantly showered him with love and affection, and gave him the grooming he deserves. After a few hours, he became a new guy! He ran around the headquarters house with energy and love, the kind he has been wanting to give off his entire life. He gave everyone kisses and insisted on playing all night long. He is SO happy to be alive. Muttville is so grateful help him on his way to a new life.

Raleigh is learning leash walking, but that doesn’t stop him from having fun. His hearing isn’t very good, but he is very visually responsive. He gets along with other dogs and people of all kinds. He also loves to snuggle.

Raleigh deserves to go to a home that can provide unlimited love, as he missed out on this his whole life.
