On May 19th, Very Good Dog Mocha’s life was completed. Mocha was rescued at age 10 by Muttville Senior Dog Rescue and lived with me for 4 1/2 happy years in
the little cottage at the end of the street. We took excellent care of one another.
Mocha loved long walks, romping around the yard, tasty snacks, spying on the chickens and evading capture when she periodically escaped from home (her last great escape, where Mocha led four humans on an extended slow-speed chase despite her mobility challenges, must be the stuff of canine gate-break legend!).
Mocha’s big smile, sweet disposition and insistence on walking visitors to the gate will be greatly missed by many, but nobody more than me. Mocha turned our rescue story into a love story.
