“Gentle little Melody found herself in a very over-crowded shelter in the Central Valley, but she made her way to the city and is now a Muttville dog. Her little tail has been wagging a lot since she arrived!
This little dear is 8 years of age and weighs around 7 lbs. She’s a mellow princess. Her favorite activity is definitely cuddling and napping with humans, preferably under blankets like a cozy little cave! She isn’t pushy and happily rests alone too.
When people come home or it’s time to walk outside or eat, she peps up with a darling little dancing style, gently batting her eyes and paws and eagerly wagging her tail. She likes fairly slow walks, but once in awhile is up for a little jog! She’s happy to quietly join on adventures like car trips, traveling in a dog bag, or even camping! Stairs sometimes get her a bit nervous, but nicely coaxing or carrying her fixes that.
The best home for Melody will be one with lots of cuddly time with one or more sweet humans, including in bed with them all night. Being alone isn’t her favorite. Melody would make a great therapy dog for, say, nursing homes!
She mainly ignores other dogs, or once in awhile snarls a bit jealously at them or tries to steal their food. But she’s used to living with a dog so it’s fine. Being the only pet is even better."
