Things are looking up for Ms. Melba! This sweet, senior gal was found as a stray with a huge hernia on her belly. Thankfully, Melba is getting the care she needs and is already feeling better after her hernia removal surgery. Melba is very happy and sweet girl. She loves meeting new people, giving kisses, and relaxing in your lap. She also does great with dogs of all sizes and enjoys the companionship of having other animals around. On the other hand, she doesn’t mind being home on her own when you leave for work. Overall, Melba is just a sweet and easy going girl who would love to spend her golden years with a loving new family. She’s as perfect a pooch as you can find!

Here’s what Melba’s foster has to say about this special girl:

“Super sweet! Love everyone and just fits right in. She’s been around cats and is fine. Not really on her radar. She sleeps through the night in a crate and I have to wake her up in the morning. She loves exploring new places and places that store food. Very involved in anything going on in the kitchen. Melba is very quiet and has only barked once or twice the entire time she has been with us. We were outside and I’m not sure why she barked, but even her bark is cute. "

Melba is about 13 years young and weighs 12 pounds.
