Delicate and beautiful, that’s our Rita. Walking by the kennels in a local shelter, I saw a little dog shaking so hard, with a sorrowful look on her face. I couldn’t resist opening up the door and when I did, a whole change came over her. She quit shaking and gently walked over and sat in my lap! That is what this girl is like all the time. Quiet and loving. She bonded with her foster mom after just a day.
We think she is about 12 years old, she weighs 9 pounds with slender long legs.

What a gem! She is so sweet and grateful. She’s sitting at my feet right this minute. She has a remarkable amount of energy for a girl her age, but she’s happy to nap, too, and has found her favorite spots. Her eyesight’s not the greatest, but it actually took me a while to figure that out, because she’s so delighted to participate in everything. She navigates my many, many steps like she’s been doing it all her life. She’s so happy to be rescued, she will be a loving and loyal companion for some lucky person!
