Lola

Lola

#2094
American Pitbull Terrier
Female
Large (50-90 lbs)
Status: Adopted

Lola came to Muttville from a shelter in LA where she was a staff favorite! Lola is as sweet as they come and we are madly in love with her! All she wants is a companion to snuggle up with who will give her lots of belly rubs! We are suckers for her sweet eyes, so the belly rubs have been plentiful as she rolls over to receive them anytime you come near her! She is affectionate and loving with all people and is very gentle with kids. She is a mellow pup who has shown no signs of separation anxiety. We haven’t heard her bark once! She gets along well with most other dogs with the proper introduction; Lola has acclimated quickly to living with 3 other dogs. However, she would do best in a house free of cats – they confuse and excite her a little too much. The information that came with her from the shelter claims that she is 13, but we are convinced that this loving lady is closer to 8 or 9! She weighs in at a healthy perfect 60 pounds and she has plenty of energy, is great on leash, and loves to go for hikes and long walks on the beach!

Lola’s foster dad describes her as the perfect house dog! As her foster’s first pit mix experience, he couldn’t have better things to say about this darling girl. Lola knows all her manners at home, knows which couches are off limits, does not jump on people when overly excited, no chewing, no biting, excellent potty control, good with toddlers and giant people alike, practically no separation anxiety, and great on leash. Compared to the labs her foster dad has had, Lola is more affectionate and smarter.

Lola would do best in a single family home with no cats, one more doggie friend to keep her company, average 20-30 minute walks per day, and plenty of belly rubs and snuggle time. She’s the ideal candidate for a first-time dog home who takes the time to understand this breed: she is the perfect “people person” dog, but needs proper introduction to dogs as she was not brought up with proper dog etiquette.

A big key in Lola’s life is “chill” – she’s made for quiet and relaxed atmospheres, too much commotion or big parties can over stimulate this pretty girl.
