Apache And Oscar

These 2 dogs are at Oakland Animal Services and we think they are so sweet, we thought we should help in finding them new homes. They did not come in together, so they do not need to be adopted out together! Apache- I'm an older girl - probably around 10 years old - and I've had a few bad times - seems like someone burned me - but I'm recovered from that and I'm looking forward to my golden years being loved by someone mellow - not that I don't like my walks - I really do but I also like to chill. My name is Apache and I do have nice manners - I walk politely on the leash and I know sit. It also looks like I'm fairly well housetrained altho I might need a little reinforcement. Moxie

We are posting our little Moxie-she is in one of our loving foster homes-but she needs some major surgery for mammary tumors(breast cancer). As you can imagine, it is expensive. Honey Bear

Shelby Lou will melt your heart! She is a very chubby little girl who came to us from the Central Valley. She was matted and covered in fleas but she is a beauty now!

Max

Our Sweet little Max, he is so gentle and calm. He would love a nice calm environment with someone that can care for him in his golden years. He sleeps a lot, but when he is up he loves to be held or have his tummy rubbed. He is about 10 years old but seems to have had a hard life. Please think aobut opening up your heart and home to this little guy!

Mookie

Mookie was in the night drop box at the Oakland Animal Shelter with his 5 siblings, we think he is about 10 years old. He is a complete dream dog, loves everyone and is so ugly that he is cute. Everyone that sees him wants to know his story, he is good with other dogs,too!

Daisy Do

Daisy Do is such a cute and sweet little girl. Right now, Daisy is blind, but she may see soon...she will be having cataract surgery, Thank you Dr. Lipton and a very special donor, they are making this possible. We know she is worth it.

Bailey

A real love cup. soulful eyes, gentle, an angel! She is not a barker and is housetrained , though she does have some accidents. She is great with all the dogs here and everyone on the street that she meets. She is just happy for the attention!

Goofy

Muttville's eldest resident (16 or 17 years). Super loving. He has a sparkle in his eye and a spring in his step. Possibly a bed hog. Tolerant of other dogs but would rather not share the spotlight at this point. Muttville is looking for a special adopter who is prepared to love him to the fullest, while understanding that he is entering the last, and hopefully best chapter of his life.

Ava

We named her Ava, she is so beautiful and soulful. Ava was picked up as a stray in SF. She is so sweet and so gentle. Ava has great house manners, housetrained and gets along with just about everyone.

Charlie

Charlie came from an abuse/neglect situation, his life was spared because no one had the heart to pull the plug on this great guy he is such a lover and is desperate to find the family he can devote his life and give his love to!
