Baby

Baby is a very sweet, very calm little long-haired Chihuahua. He was dumped at the shelter and was snapped up by Muttville because he is such a doll. He is doing well in his foster home and gets along well with other dogs (his foster mom has three chihuahua mixes of her own). Baby is a little bit shy, although he may be a bit down because he ended up in a shelter. As each day passes though, he is showing a little more of his nice personality. He is agile and is great on walks; he is probably only 7 or 8 years old. His teeth have been ignored over the years, but Muttville has already scheduled a dental for the little guy. After his teeth are cleaned he will be a lot more comfortable. As you can see from his picture, Baby is one beautiful little dog with soulful brown eyes and a gorgeous silky coat! Baby would thrive in a permanent home that is quiet and calm, with the opportunity to lounge in the sun and get lots of tummy rubs and massages from his people! Baby is a real catch!

Dolly

Dolly is so sweet, her guardians had to give her up because their new residence did not allow pets. She is 10 years old, spunky and cuddly, She weighs about 13 pounds. Dolly lit up the Muttville house with her beauty and sweetness. she doesn't see so well but that doesn't stop this little lady.

Hazelnut

Lonely little Hazelnut, she was dumped at a shelter and was there for almost 2 months, everyone passed her by because she is 10 years old, she should be taken care of in her golden years. She has sad eyes that light up when she sees someone she loves. She needs to be the only animal in her new home. You can visit her at the SFSPCA!! she is house trained and gentle with humans. A cuddle muffin with a sweetness that comes out more each day. Please think about opening up your home to this deserving little girl, she needs a place to call home and a human to love! We are urgently looking for a foster or adoptive home for our Hazelnut

Pretty Penny

They say I am unbelievably sweet, my name is Pretty Penny and I am 10 years old. I like everyone and have a very gentle manner. I love to play ball and like car rides and walks and just about everything. I love the water, playing ball- I am a retriever!! Did I tell you that I am OK with cats, too!!The doctors said I have something like a mass in my lungs. It isn't really growing but it might. I would love a great, kind hearted person to devote my life to. Are you the one for me?

Tony

Our sweet Tony has been bounced around so much and is still the happiest guy, very much a lover of people and other dogs! His foster family says he is so perfect, an attentive boy who is about 8 years old. He is getting healthier by the day. He loves meeting new people and would be a great addition to any loving home.

Pebbles

Pebbles is a love bug, very sweet little girl, she is about 7 years old. She was a matted mess when we got her but now has a cute scruffy haircut. She likes to sleep in bed with you and be near you as much as she can. She is ok with all the dogs here but prefers her humans. She loves to be held and is energetic and happy. So if you need a little love in your life, she just might be the girl for you!

Pierre

Pierre, what can I say...He is a gorgeous little poodle boy, he loves other dogs and is really playful. He has lots of energy, we think he is about 5 years old. Pierre was brought to the shelter as a stray, we can't believe anyone wouldn't come and claim him. A bundle of joy, so happy and oh so cute!

Pickles

Hi, my name is Pickles. I was a stray in Monterey County and was a matted, unhappy little boy. I was probably neglected most of my life. I am about 12 years old and I think I am pretty cute now. If you want a grouchy old poodle to share your life, check me out! I can be a grouchy old man, I am very fun to watch and love to cuddle but things need to be on my terms! I am housetrained and I only have half my teeth but still love to eat!!

Joe

Sweet Joe, that's what they call me here at Muttville. I have had a rough life but I know things are looking up. I can be a little bit shy, I am scared I might get hit. but once I know you are a good person, I will love you so much, you won't know what hit you. I like other dogs and I am housetrained, too! They say I am about 7 years old and I am healthy,! I will want to be on the couch next to you when you watch TV and go for walks and get to know all your friends if they go slow with me, just give me a chance!!

Sugar

Meet Sugar, the sweetest Pekingese ever. Sugar is about 10 years old and 20 pounds. Sugar likes all dogs and people (probably even cats!) and asks for nothing more than some good food, belly rubs, and a little exercise. Sugar was adopted from the shelter in 2001. After 7 years of loyalty to his family, Sugar was dumped at the same shelter. During that time he lost the vision in one eye and is partially blind in the other. He's now on eye drops twice a day and the vet thinks we might be able to restore some of his vision. Despite being mostly blind Sugar enjoys life. He's a happy guy who loves to eat, get petted, and just hang out with this foster family. Sugar isn't a couch potato but he's not a marathon runner either. He's got some deformity in his elbows which means he can walk short distances before he tires out, and he walks S L O W L Y. Walking Sugar requires some patience but it's worth it to watch him enjoy the smells and sounds of the outdoors. Sugar doesn't have the best bladder control but will use pee pads. Ideally Sugar would have access to the outdoors or be taken out several times during the day.
