Lady Tara is a very gentle 9-year-old Australian Shepherd. Because of her former living situation, she didn’t get to blossom into the awesome, intelligent dog that she could be. Now that she is with Muttville she is discovering the beauty in the world, from flowers to kind humans to the company of other dogs.
We are helping her rehabilitate her back legs, which have suffered from atrophy and arthritis, so she needs someone who can carry this 40 lb girl in/out of cars, up/down stairs, etc. She would be great with someone with patience and a desire to help this girl develop her enormous capacity to live, love and solve problems like only an aussie can. We know that she can bond and will connect with her forever parents. We recommend a home with an experienced dog owner or trainer knowledgeable in working with canine stereotyphy.
