great with dogs, cats, and no one snuggles better than Jackson!!!

I’m Jackson and everyone I meet calls me a lover. I am about 12 years young and though blind I get around really well! I love laps! and I am housetrained, too.
I came to Muttville a few weeks ago with a mouth full of rotten teeth, a very skinny body, skin sores and motor oil all over my fur (I am on the mend now medically).
Despite my hard times, my foster mom thinks I must have been a loved family member once because I have such good house manners (house trained) and I just want to cuddle and hug people. I am currently living in foster care with 2 bigger dogs and a couple of cats and I get along fine with all of them, although my main desire is to be with my person. I bonded really quickly with my foster mom and she says that this means that I will bond quickly with my forever family also.
Although I am blind, I do have some hearing and I will follow you around the house. I can even take a walk outside as long as I have a “seeing eye person” who keeps me on safe terrain with a leash.
I will need a safe environment in my home without access to stairs or things that I could fall off / could harm me.
A home with an active senior would be great for me, but I would also be fine in a home with working people, particularly if there was another mellow dog in the house to keep my company. I am not nippy, yappy or pee-pee happy. I am just a great little guy looking for someone who wants a soul mate. Won’t you look beyond my visual challenges and be that for me?
