Florence Boomerang or Flo-Yo; Her name really speaks to her personality. She’s a senior who bounces back for more excitement at every turn.
She’s got the ideal temperament. She loves people, dogs, cats, kids, you name it she loves them. She also is not afraid to tell a dog in a totally appropriate manner to back off. She did this with our bouncy spazzy foster Pit Bull who was in her face. She confidently gave him a correction and he backed off. She is confident but relaxed.
Florence was dropped in the night box at the Berkeley shelter. The shelter knew she needed to get out as soon as possible. Who did they call? Muttville, of course. It was not long before she settled right in to our home with 2 big dogs, 2 cats and chickens. She walks well on leash. In fact, she walked fantastically well with a two year old handler.
She also visits with kids every day at her foster mom’s school. The kids say, “Is Florence here? Can we come visit her?”
She loves to run around in the park, doing giant circles and greeting other people and dogs. She has pretty good recall. We are still practicing. She is housebroken and loves to be with her people. She is also fine curl up on her bed.
Florence is an excellent first dog, as she is so easy. She would also be so happy to live with another dog or two.
This girl definitely lived with someone who really loved her. Who knows what happened in her story to land her at the shelter. Now she is looking for her forever home. Is Florence your next forever love?
