“Flor” means Flower in Spanish, and we thought this was a great name for her, because she has blossomed so much in the first 24 hours here at Muttville!
Flor has had a rough life but she is putting that behind her. She came from a high kill shelter in East LA, where she was abandoned matted to the skin, that’s why she looks so naked now. she needed to be completely shave down. She was even grateful and kissed the groomer while this was happening.
We think Flor is about 8 years old, she enjoys being held and like to curl up with the other dogs here at Muttville. she makes friends wherever she goes! she weighs about 14 pounds but is pretty agile and like to go for walks.
Once her coat grows in, she is sure to be a beauty!
She flinches a little bit when you go to pet her, though she does love it!!
she may be better with older children or adults that will understand this and treat her gently.
