Edgar

Edgar

#1907
Shih Tzu Mix
Male
Small (6-20 lbs)
Status: Adopted

Edgar is soooo handsome. He is fun, happy and easy going. He is ready to pick-up and go.

Come meet Edgar and come prepared to have your heart ripped out of your chest because when that happens you’ll find it tucked away in Edgar’s pants.

After taking him home his foster mom says "I brought Edgar home from HQ today, and after just a couple of hours with him, I am quite sure that he will be gone quickly. He’s non-yappy, playful, sweet, healthy, friendly, relaxed, tolerates new situations, and was a dream on BART. Honestly, I don’t see any downside to him. I’ll take him to our dog park tomorrow and see how he does, but so far, there is nothing about him to issue any caveats about. "

Edgar weighs 11 pounds and is about 7-8 years old.

Another updated from Edgar’s foster home: "I’ve had Edgar for a week now and I have nothing but good things to say about him. 100% housebroken, he’s sweet, happy and he has a joie de vivre about him. He loves his walks and trots along joyously, his spectacular tail and ears blowing in the wind. He’s happy to see everyone, dogs and people alike. He’s good for a long walk around the block (½ mile or so); he’s not a distance walker, but if you’re a hiker, you aren’t looking for a Shih Tzu, anyway. He has a very playful side and loves his small tennis ball. I toss it around the condo, he tears after it and brings it back for another toss. He’ll even fall asleep with it under his chin. And he loves to pounce on and vigorously shake small stuffed squeaky toys.

He is at home anywhere we go. Our favorite restaurant has a patio and he curls up at my feet. He’s nonreactive with wildlife and cars, and he doesn’t bark. When we leave him alone, he curls up on the couch until we return. He’s good in the car, he’s good on BART, and he makes friends wherever he goes. If you want a sweet, fun, low requirements buddy who will make you smile, Edgar’s the perfect dog."
