Dobbs

Dobbs

Pit bull terrier
Female
Medium (20-50 lbs)
Status: Adopted

Lovely, sweet Miss Dobbs has been impounded, on and off, for the last 3 years. The owner has been slowly going downhill and is now homeless, so Dobbs is looking for a loving place to call her forever home. Dobbs is a 13 year old pitbull with skin infections that the shelter is now treating. She is a very sweet dog, good with dogs and cats (as reported by the owner). She is very unhappy in the shelter, pacing and crying in her little kennel.
Can you help this poor girl find stability, shelter, and love?
True success, what a lucky girl she is!

Hi All-
I’m back from a very arduous trip that I hoped would include revelation about the dog of my dreams. I was distracted most of the week and no dog came to mind. On my last day I dragged my brother to our mom’s ancient computer with the dial-up connection to show him the choices from the Muttville website. We waited forever as the home page loaded. I hadn’t checked the website in over a week and new faces were slowly unfolding, including a gorgeous Pit at the Berkeley Shelter. I read her very challenged story, burst into tears, and knew she was mine.
Indeed Stella, formerly known as “Dobbs” (which tells you volumes right there) is enjoying her second morning with me. She has plenty of medical issues on deck, but a glorious disposition despite a history of terrible neglect. If she got any prettier my teeth would fall right out of my head. I’m smitten.
Many thanks to Victoria and Alfred for taking care of the girls. I know someone will find them utterly irresistible. Sherri- thanks for posting that courtesy listing. I wouldn’t have found her without you. You can move “Dobbs” to Success Stories, but please add she is now named Stella. I’m guessing she has shone like a star all her life, but she’s about to get brighter. I know she will serve as a compass for me.
Muttville…you are the best!
