It’s hard to find a sweeter face than little Clara’s. And she has so much love to give!!
We are looking for a hospice home for this wonderful angel! Somewhere that she can get lots of love till her time comes!
Clara, an adorable little Chihuahua mix who’s just shy of 8 pounds was found running around on the streets in Kern County. Who could have let this sweet girl out of their sights? Unfortunately, it seems as though Clara may have been one of those dogs that just got left in the backyard and never got very much love and attention from humans. When she first arrived at Muttville, she was extremely shy, skittish and uncomfortable with being handled or picked up. Well, thankfully she did find her way to Muttville. Two months later, this precious little girl is finally feeling comfortable enough to let her true light shine!!
We think that Clara is somewhere between 10-12 years old, but this little girl has got plenty of get up and go!! She’s very active and alert, and LOVES going for walks!! She enjoys being around other dogs, especially those around her size, but she’d be just as content to be the only dog in the home. She would do best in a home with a small yard as well as she does like to wander around outside and sniff often.
Clara is almost completely deaf, but she responds to hand movements and body postures very well. She also had to have almost all of her teeth taken out, but she is fine with soft food and loves treats!! Clara is a very easy dog – she just wants to be loved and cuddled!! Her big alert ears, soulful eyes and lovely smile will capture your heart!
