Chickie is a sweet, loving little poodle mix, about 10 years old and weighs all of 5 pounds – he’s got the spirit of a puppy. He loves to play, gets excited when he sees squirrels and likes to go on walks. Chickie loves to cuddle and be on your lap! This house-trained boy loves sleeping in! He doesn’t shed, though his coat needs some brushing. Chickie was found roaming the streets of L.A. and taken to a high kill shelter. We’re awfully glad to have saved this little fella.
Chickie would be best in a home without children. He’d do well with someone who’s retired or works from home. Chickie’s great in the car, and he’s a perfect little traveling companion. This lovely little guy is just looking for someone patient who will return all the love he gives daily.
Chickie’s foster Mom writes, “He loves to walk and with a little encouragement he’s a little prancer. He likes to sleep in and lounge around in bed in the morning. He’s really good in the car. We took him to Point Reyes on a family outing recently and he was perfectly well behaved and slept the entire car ride. Chickie’s getting more trusting. He is snuggling with family members and it’s so nice to see him come out of his shell.”
