Chicory is an adorable terrier girl who was found as a stray in San Jose. She is still getting used to her new surroundings and can be a bit shy, but we know with time she will blossom and come out of her shell. Chicory does great with other dogs and enjoys exploring. We are still getting to know this sweet girl but know she will make a lovely companion to someone willing to give her a chance.

Due to her heart disease, Chicory is part of our Hospice Care Program. Hospice care will include administering oral medications and taking Chicory to the veterinarian periodically for check ups.

Here’s what her foster say to say about her:

Chicory is a sweet dog with a fun personality. She sleeps a lot but also likes to go out on walks. She is good with other dogs & house-training with a few little wee accidents. She definitely prefers to go outside though. She is obsessed with fresh chicken, although she does enjoy canned chicken dog food. She loves to curl up on her bed in the sun (don’t we all). Chicory is very excited when coming home for a walk and always wants a quick game of chase around the house before settling. She is very sweet!

Chicory is about 10 years young and weighs 12 pounds.
