Chaka came to Muttville as an owner surrender. His original owner died 4 years ago, and he went to live with a relative. That person recently got too ill to care for him any more so Muttville stepped in and saved him.
When he came to us he was very thin and in need of medical attention, though neither was due to intentional neglect. Despite all he’s been through since his owner passed away, he is a really happy boy and loves life.
Chaka is good with dogs of all sizes, lives peacefully with cats and is wonderful with older children.
His favorite activities include getting lots of loving, sleeping on one of his multiple cozy beds and short walks. He’ll let you know when he needs to go out, he gives a big woof.
Because he’s an older fellow, he has some arthritis and needs a home with no stairs.
He’s a big boy but doesn’t need much space to be happy. Just much love!
