Cassie’s first guardian gave her up because they moved. The new family abandoned Cassie in Merced, and Animal Care and Control luckily found her. ACC called her owners and they said they didn’t want her anymore.
After all of this, Cassie still has so much love to give. But only one very special person is deserving of it. Could that person be you?
Cassie is a 10 year old, large, merle purebred Australian Shepherd. When she arrived at Muttville, with a huge smile on her face, she was covered in prickers that got caught in her fur and it was all tangled. The groomer filled a kitchen garbage bag with the amount of junk caught in her unmaintained coat. Cassie was so happy afterward, as you can imagine.
Cassie gets along just fine with cats and would love a home without stairs. It can be hard for an older gal to get up & down stairs!
She is a quiet girl who can mainly only see shadows and her hearing isn’t it’s best. Even though some of her senses are a little off, she is housetrained, very loving and ready for a new forever home.
