Caroline is an adorable Doxie mix girl who comes to us all the way from Long Beach. Sadly, she was found as an injured stray and had to have her front leg amputated. We believe she had been hit by a car. Despite her heartbreaking story, Caroline is a happy girl who wants nothing more than a new beginning! Caroline is still a bit shy but is coming out of her shell more and more every day. She does well with other dogs and starts wagging her tail whenever she meets a new friend. Caroline needs a loving, patient adopter who can show her how to trust people once more. Can you be her new best friend!?

Caroline is about 7 years young and weighs 18 pounds.

Here’s what her foster has to say about this spunky girl:

Caroline wakes up every morning ready to play and snuggle! She has never let her missing arm slow her down. She loves to go on walks, eat snacks, play with her toys, make new friends and cuddle! Caroline is pretty active, she can handle 20-30 minute walks without a problem & loves to play fetch. She’s also great with stairs & can even jump on (and off) the couch and in/out of the car. She good with dogs and likes making new friends. Caroline is house trained! I love this little tripod, she’s got so much spunk! She likes to be on the most cushion possible (including sneaking up on the couch when everyone else goes to bed :)). Her resilience is really special, she trips or falls over sometimes but never even seems to notice. Also, she’s a quick study! She didn’t seem to know any basic commands when she came to me but now knows sit, come, lie down & crate.
