Bixby is an adorable and unique looking Rat Terrier mix who comes to us from Berkeley.
Sadly, his elderly owner could no longer take care of him and to surrender him to the local animal shelter. When we heard his story, we knew we had to help this lovely senior dog find a forever home once more! Since arriving, Bixby has shown himself to be very trusting of new people and very well-socialized. He is friendly with dogs of all sizes, likes meeting new people, and loves going for walks. Bixby is a gentle and sweet dog who will make a wonderful companion!
Due to advanced age, and two malignant tumors, Bixby is available for adoption through Muttville’s hospice care program.
Bixby is 15 years young, weighing 20 pounds.

Bixby is an inquisitive explorer with a big heart! You can tell his brain is always at work taking in the world around him. Bixby sleeps a lot, but still gets excited to go out on walks. A short (10-20) minute walk is enough to tire him out. Bixby is great with house-training, no issues whatsoever & he even stands at the door to ask to go out.
