Our first year was a huge success!
We averaged one senior dog rescue every two weeks.
So far this year, we have quadrupled that record, saving two dogs every week!
We could not do this without your help.
Thank you for your generous donations.
Thank you to all our loving foster homes. Thank you to all our wonderful adopters.
Thanks to all of you who have opened up your hearts to these sweet and deserving animals!
The mutts are grateful.

Get involved
Foster
There are so many dogs waiting for someone like you! We will make sure that you get the right one. If you want a beautiful, loving soul in your home, and if you’re willing to give it the love and care that it deserves, we need you.
Muttville dogs are available for foster; some are available for adoption. [For what “foster” means, and how it’s different from “adoption,” click here.]
Please contact us if you can foster or adopt a dog.
Volunteer
Just a few hours of your time can make a huge difference. If you’re in the San Francisco bay area, you can make a tremendous contribution to Muttville’s wonderful work by volunteering just a few hours a week.
Muttville needs people to feed and walk dogs, to taxi dogs and their foster parents to vet appointments, to help with administration, to distribute our literature, and many other tasks. Knowing that you’re helping these loving, wonderful dogs is a rewarding way to spend your time. If you can give at least four hours a week, please contact us. And tell us which Muttville environment you’d prefer – the desk, the sidewalk or the car!
