Goofy will forever be our Muttville Mascot – came to us at age 17 and stayed till he was 19 years old!

He loved traipsing at Fort Funston, bugging every dog he could, the bigger the better!

Emma, his foster mom, and I will meet whomever would like to join in this farewell at noon at the westernmost trailhead near the Port O Potties. Dogs are welcome.

I know that Goofy touched many people in our community, with his gusto for life all the way till his peaceful ending.

SF Puppy Prep is starting Friday night socials for puppies and small dogs as fundraisers for rescue organizations. And they’ve chosen Muttville for their inaugural event on Jan 8!

Your puppy or small dog will play, romp, wrestle and pick up all-important social skills. You’ll kick back, enjoy some wine and cheese, and share training tips with other parents. All while helping Muttville!

6:30pm – 7:30pm: Small Dog Social (all adult dogs under 25lbs)
7:30pm – 8:30pm: Puppy Social (under 6 mos with 2 sets of vaccinations)

Price: $15 non-students, $10 current students

Fundraiser Beer Bust for Rocket Dog Rescue & Muttville

“Do or Die” is the new weekly party/contest/fundraiser at The Mix bar in SF.

Each week contestants compete in the following categories – singing, drag/lipsync and comedy/magic – and must survive the ‘charity gong’ in hopes of moving on to compete in the finals.

Great raffle prizes, too! And raffle tickets confer “gong” authority besides!

Every Monday in February.

Hollywoof SF: Movie Night with your Dog!

A sequel to last year’s sold-out fundraiser extravaganza in Oakland, Dogopolis brings the lights and cameras to San Francisco with Hollywoof Part 2.

Special double feature includes a screening of SNIFF and MINE, and is the only event where you can watch the films with your dogs.

The night’s treats also include rolling out the green carpet, dog massages, professional “pupperazzi”, the famous doggy bar, and more.

A portion of the proceeds to benefit Muttville and Guide Dogs for the Blind!
