Seniors for Seniors

Seniors for Seniors

Little MacKenzie (“Kenzie”) came to us all scruffy and unkempt with engorged ticks adorning her little body. Kenzie moved with a nervous twitching condition and sometimes staggered when she walked. We weren’t sure she had much longer for this world. Despite the state of her coat and body, she had so much light in her eyes! And those eyelashes, they’re so long – it looked like she had bought a pair at the five and dime.

Kenzie was with us a few weeks when Muttville got a call from the neighbor of a senior man who had lost his mini-Schnauzer and was in search of another little lady. It was love at first sight for both of them. Now, several months later, Kenzie takes her daily walks and keeps her Daddy’s lap warm during the winter months.

And her nervous condition?

The vet is happy to report that she has improved a lot. This weekend Muttville went to visit Kenzie and her new owner and found Kenzie romping playfully in her beautiful backyard – see what a dose of love and care can do for an amazing man and his best friend?

I’m so thrilled to get an update on Kenzie!! I washed her poor little sweet self when she first came in- I’m still traumatized by the size of the ticks I picked off of her…

But, all better now!!! Yay Kenzie!!!
