Layla's big beach day!
Our 12 year old chow chow, Layla, who was used as pit bull bait and then thrown into a backyard, took her first trip to the beach. Our lady bear had a romping good time, tail up, sniffing the air though she never touched the water!
She has come so far, she now follows us around the house, loves car rides and sleeps in a cush bed. We still want to find her a loving home of her own, where she can spend the rest of her days as a spoiled bear cub!
I wish I could take her too but Ginger has taken over the house she shares with her 2 cats and me. She follows me everywhere. She loves other dogs but not near “her” car and house. There isn’t a day goes by that I’m not telling someone about Muttville & the joy of an older dog.
I remember when Layla first arrived at the house. She was so shy but wanted to be loved. She has really come out of her shell! And its so wonderful to see her showing happiness :) Sherri and Lisa have done such a wonderful job with giving her the love she deserves!

What a sweet girl! Such a strong heart – after all she’s been through, she still trusts humans, still believes that the world is a good place. This fluff-bird deserves many more blissful afternoons at the beach. Thank you, Muttville and Sherri, for giving her a new lease on life!
