Geronimo, our celebrity spaniel, finally gets his much needed eye surgery.

We received a generous offer from animal eye specialist, Dr. Dennis Hacker, for eye removal surgery for our sweet cocker spaniel boy, Geronimo. He so badly needed this. He lost his vision years ago and had been living with severe dry eye due to neglect and lack of treatment before he came to Muttville.

He has been quite the celebrity spokesperson for Muttville these last weeks, participating in KOFY interviews, ABC Channel 7 news features with Fido Factor and Anchorman Dan Ashley, an article for SF Chronicle, and one of the featured photos in this month’s Bark Magazine, an article entitled “The Joys of Fostering”.

He has made so many friends in his new life with Muttville. Many people were praying and thinking about him yesterday. We are happy to report that his surgery went well and he is recovering nicely. Still full of energy and wandering the house!

We hope that someone will fall in love with Geronimo’s kind and gentle soul and give him his perfect forever home. Geronimo may be blind but he certainly sees all the goodness life has to offer!!
