A fond and peaceful farewell to a special yorkie boy
Tonight we had to say goodbye to our new arrival, London, a very sweet yorkie
who we rescued from Kern County. He was in really bad shape when he got here.
we gave him everything he could want, a warm bed- mine- lots of chicken soup
and pain meds, he was so old and so weak. It was his time, it makes me so angry when people dump their old infirm dogs at a county shelter to spend their last days. This little guy deserved to be held and loved till the end and I was honored to do that for him.
Sail away sweet boy, on nice warm soft clouds….
Kudos to Sherri for getting the Marin event people out the door in the am, then spending a full day at her own job AND then having to come home to give dear London some final comforting moments before letting him go. Also – well done to Linda A for cuddling him and talking to him throughout the afternoon- poo on her pants and everything!!! and a curse on those in So Cal for letting him get to this point
Oh Sherri. How sad for little London but you have such a good heart and gave him such love to move on with. You are truly an angel for these little ones.
Despite the awful way London was treated, God is smiling on you for the love you gave him at the end.
Thank you for your willing and noble compassion. The world needs more people just like you!
So glad that he was able to know the feeling of compassion and kindness before he left us, surrounded by the love and warmth of Muttville. Thank you Sherri and Linda for giving him a lifetime of love in his short time with us.
Sherri, thank you so much for all you do. I send much love to you and London. He is telling all the other critters how wonderful you are.
thank you, thank you, thank you.
Sherri. You are an angel. When i got the tweet last night I got choked up and realized why I support the Mutt-vile mission.
The amount of kindness and compassion is overwhelming.
